OLEOTEK's intellectual property policy allows for numerous possibilities surrounding the sharing of intellectual property depending on the contribution of the partner, varying from the retention of the intellectual property by OLEOTEK and issuing licenses to clients or the complete transfer of the intellectual property.

OLEOTEK's privacy policy ensures its clients the exclusivity of the results of the work done in collaboration with our center. All employees have signed confidentiality agreements and are regularly reminded of the importance of this commitment toward the client. Moreover, we ensure our clients that the tandem "technology-application" targeted by their research will be exclusive to them and that OLEOTEK won't use the same technology for the same application with another client without first obtaining their approval.

OLEOTEK requires all its employees to be recognized members of the professional orders that govern their respective professions. They are submitted to all applicable rules and laws and must answer to their respective orders which are responsible for the public's protection.

OLEOTEK also adheres to the ethical research policy of the Thetford Cégep that covers the prevention of conflict of interest, manages complaints and ensures the exactitude of results.
